About the Wesemann Family...

The Wesemann Family has appeared publicly performing piano concertos (Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Gershwin), solo piano and vocal recitals. Wolfgang (“Bob”) studied piano at an early age tutored by Mathilde Franke, a German concert pianist, who was a student of Walter Gieseking.

Son Dan Wesemann is also an accomplished pianist (MA – Music Education and past Assistant Conductor of the University of Utah Symphony Orchestra). He won local piano competitions as a youngster and performed in the Temple Square Concert Series. He teaches music and languages in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Daughter Debra Wesemann-Siebert, Mezzo Soprano, (DMA – Voice), has an extensive singing background in the U.S and abroad in opera, recital, and concert performance, including Temple Square Concert Series, and professional teaching in voice at the University of Las Vegas. Her operatic roles include Cherubino and Marcellina (The Marriage of Figaro), Charlotte (Werther), Hansel (Hansel and Gretel), Suzuki (Madame Butterfly), Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), and Nancy (Albert Herring). She has won awards in District and Region Metropolitan Opera National Council and NATSAA competitions. Debra recently started a company called “Bravi Beginnings” (www. bravibeginnings.com) which creates media products teaching children foundational musical concepts preparatory for further music studies.

Other siblings (Dave and Duane perform guitar duets. Darren composes his own music and performs for special occasions. Doug’s interests have been the violin, guitar and piano. Louise and “Bob” enjoy playing organ and piano duets.
